Toll Control is the newest member of E-Transit’s toll collection system technology suite. It is based on decades of toll collection design experience by a team that is driven to provide systems that are highly accurate, easy to use, reliable, and simple to maintain.
The latest Linux, Windows, Java, .Net, TCP/IP, digital video, intelligent I/O, and database technologies are used throughout. Secure remote access and remote support is available at all times. Operation in multiple manned and unmanned lane configurations is fully supported.
Fully graphical toll collector terminals are easy to customize and allow for legacy operator procedures, agency-specific payment methods, etc.
User-friendly system status screens show real-time information, and offer complete command & control of toll plaza operations.
Revenue management and auditing screens provide high-level summaries with “drill-down” detail to any toll transaction.
The ITV-3000 Video Audit Subsystem is an essential tool for audit, operations, security, and management personnel. It is easy-to-use and helps maintain productivity, reduce fraud, identify training problems, document incidents, and improve the overall “bottom-line.”
Since all lane activity is recorded 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you can now perform “after-the-fact” transaction analysis and investigations–using pre-recorded digital video of toll lane activity with simultaneous playback of the associated transaction and event data.
Easily export video and events to share with respective parties. The customizable export function allows you to quickly and simply share only what’s relevant.
The system employs advanced, patented technologies fro managing, storing, and presenting synchronized full-motion video with real-time toll lane generated data.
Since the data from both transactions and “events” (i.e., individual treadle activations, toll collector keypresses, ETC tag reads, gate activations) are replayed synchronously, you can quickly search for anomalous transactions, play them forward and backward in slow motion or high speed and ultimately understand the “hidden details” that caused the anomaly or incident. The Transaction Search Screen allows the viewer to select transactions for review.
The data can reside on any networked server running Oracle, Informix, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, etc. Viewers can search for individual toll transactions by any combination of date/time plaza, lane, collector ID, ETC tag number, vehicle class, number of axles, violation type, etc.
A single image from each selected transaction is then displayed on the Thumbnail Display Screen. In many cases, all of the visual information necessary to verify the sources of a transaction anomaly is contained in one image, thus reducing the time required to view transactions. A summary of the transaction is presented in the bottom text window. Clicking on one of the thumbnail images brings up the Video Audit Screen, which provides the viewer with a full-motion video/data recording of the entire transaction.
The Video/Event Screen lets the viewer see exactly what happened in the lane during any selected transaction. They can even see what occurred before and after the selected transaction. Motion video of the transaction is replayed along with the data from treadles, loops, lane controllers, ETC readers, toll terminals, etc. The video and event messages move together as one–synchronously and in real-time.
Flex CSC is the industry’s first low-cost, virtually “shrink-wrapped” ETC Customer Service Center software package. It is a feature-rich system that is specially designed to meet the needs of small to mid-size toll agencies and toll road concessionaires.
It provides all of the functions needed to securely manage personal and corporate accounts, tags, toll transaction histories, automated account replenishments, customer service operations, cases, notes, and more. Some key features include:
Easy-to-use web browser-based GUI screens and reports allow your CSC staff to provide fast and accurate customer service. Also included, is a fully integrated and extremely powerful Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system which serves as the “platform” for all CSC operations.
The ITV-3000 Video Surveillance System is a comprehensive video management, recording, and playback system that integrates both analog and IP cameras.
Built upon comprehensive and highly flexible hardware and supporting technologies, the ITV-3000 Surveillance and Video Management provides performance-optimized video monitoring and state-of-the-art video analytics and control features. It is a scalable, extensible platform that can be customized and seamlessly integrated with other security system devices and applications.
The E-Transit VS-77 Video Vehicle Separator is a best-of-breed solution that employs image processing technology to accurately detect, separate, and count vehicles as they pass through a toll lane.
The system is a reliable, inexpensive, and easy-to-install plug-compatible replacement for costly and difficult to maintain light curtains. Like standard light curtains, it outputs continuous streaming serial data and triggers its dry-contact relays when vehicles are detected.
Specialized logic allows small trailer hitches to be detected, while preventing false triggering from to snow, rain, birds, etc.
The system adds powerful informational capabilities to standard vehicle detection processing. ASCII “transaction” records are automatically created for each detected vehicle. This data can be used for independent vehicle counting, revenue control, traffic analysis, etc. Vehicle detection data can be transmitted upstream in real-time, or in daily history files via standard or custom protocols and interfaces.
The UPTime MOMS package automatically monitors equipment status, pages technicians, logs service activity, manages inventory, schedules Preventative Maintenance (PM) and more!
Technicians can be notified via e-mail or SMS, when problems arise. Technicians can respond to notifications via e-mail, smartphone, any ordinary telephone (using UPTime’s interactive voice response system), SMS, and/or its secure web site.
Authorized personnel can access all the GUI screens and reports remotely via any Microsoft Windows PC or notebook computer.
All reports are developed using the Crystal Reports™ ad hoc report writer software. Nonprogrammers find Crystal Reports extremely easy to learn and use. Users can easily create their custom reports and add them to the reports module so that they are available for others. UPTime is the most comprehensive, flexible, and easy to use package in the toll industry.
The system runs on Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, or Linux and processes maintenance data provided by most toll collection devices, including:
E-Transit has designed and deployed integrated systems that enhance traffic flow and security for port/cargo container inspection facilities. These systems incorporate our many years of transportation and security “know-how”. Our solutions can include automatic license plate reading, RFID, driver identification media, bar-coding, LED signs, traffic signaling devices, real-time status display and monitoring screens, and interfaces to new and existing devices.
We also provide consulting services to guide facility managers in a wide range of activities, including operations analysis, system design, evaluation of applicable technologies, project management, contract performance monitoring, and more.
In addition to our work with industry-standard electronic toll collection equipment from manufacturers like Kapsch, Transcore, Neology, and others, E-Transit has pioneered the use of the latest EPC Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6C technologies for toll collection and parking control systems.
EPC Gen 2 and ISO 16000-6C RFID technologies were developed to establish standards for industrial and commercial RFID tag applications The current ratified standard operates in the ultrahigh frequency (UHF) range (860 – 960 MHz), supports operation at long distances (e.g., 25-30 feet) and is a true “open” technology with fully-interoperable tags and readers produced by dozens of companies. EPC Gen 2 readers and tags are extremely low cost (tags can cost as low $2.00 USD each!).
Tags are available in numerous form-factors, including exterior mounted tags, windshield or headlight sticker tags, portable rear-view mirror hang-tags, proximity cards and more. Proximity cards provide end-users and agencies more options, especially in environments where a vehicle is not a pre-requisite. For added flexibility, multi-protocol readers are available that can read both EPC Gen 2 and ISO 16000-6C RFID tags.
Mobile phones have also become an integrated solution for ETC/Access Control systems.
